Spare Rib [1972-1981] originated from underground press during the apex of the Women's Liberation Movement. Co-founded Rosie Boycott and Marsha Rowe. Issued monthly. Continued as ISSN 8361.7411 1990 onwards. Form of title varies from Spare rib : news magazine, Spare rib : woman's news magazine ; Spare rib : women's magazine. The online Spare Rib resource 2015 - have as of 2021 ceased existence due to the UK leaving the EU. Selected works can be found on the British Library Spare Rib site.
