ASHA consisted of a Resource Centre, Refuge and Girl's Hostel, funded by Lambeth. The July issue sets out plans for ASHA including staffing. No 2 includes a speech by Farida Mayet Chairperson on the triple burden of oppression backed by Black women; definition of Black as a political term including Asians; details of the hostel, events and trainings; writings by women; and information on violence against women, including the murder of Balwant Panesar at the Brent Asian Women's Refuge.
